Warning this is an advanced tool that will invalidate the warranty on your hardware (AMD GPUs) and may cause damage to you hardware. This tool is aimed at advanced users who understand and accept the risks.
What does it do?
The Cudo Bios Tool will retrieve the BIOS from each of your compatible GPUs and edit them with tighter memory timing straps resulting in a higher hash rate. Each GPU BIOS is modified individually, so it will still work if you have a mix of AMD cards from different vendors.
*Note: Windows currently only supports RX580, Linux supports all RX cards. Vegas and Radeon VIIs are not supported.
Before you bios is modified a copy of the BIOS retrieved from your card is stored in a backup folder. So you can restore the BIOS retrieved at the time of running the Cudo Bios tool.
Only one backup is taken when the tool is first run and it is not overwritten.
What can go wrong?
Automatic restoring of BIOSes can only be carried out if the system configuration has not changed. If you move, remove or add GPUs this will result in an inability to restore your GPUs.
If you suffer a power loss, system crash or restart your machine during flashing this could result in a damaged GPU.
How to use it
- Run Cudo Miner as admin/root
a. Linux: cd /opt/”Cudo Miner” && sudo CudoMiner
b. Windows: right click Cudo Miner icon and select ‘Run as administrator’
- If you are mining; disable the miner (stop mining)
- Go to the Cudo Miner settings page
- Switch on “Enable overclocking settings for each algorithm”
- Scroll down to show the AMD Bios Tool section.
If you have supported cards they should show up in the table.
- Press “Scan System” to gather data about your cards
- Press “Auto Flash All” to flashcards
Higher hashrates for Ethereum and Monero can be achieved using Cudo Bios Tool along with AMD blockchain drivers and memory overclock.
